Nov 22,  · After getting the Mosaic vinyl version of that box, and also some originals and 70's pressings of some of the LPs, I came to believe the cd boxed set (and the subsequent individual releases from the 90') to be quite a bit brighter. I enjoy the EQ of the Mosaic vinyl and the earlier pressings over the 90's cd releases, many of which were remixes.

Feb 16,  · Miles Tilmann's music is unbelievable, gorgeous gorgeous stuff, very ambient I am not usually into straight ambient but I would call this melodic ambient some releases do have tracks with beats, which are also very nice, I do not want to bring out the dreaded "Boards of Canada comparison" but Miles Tilmann's music is the only stuff out there that comes close to evoking the same calibre.

8. Oct 26,  · BTW, I have many of the Miles Davis Mofi's. Beginning with Miles 2nd great quintet recordings *E.S.P., Sorcerer, Miles Smiles etc., through In A Silent Way, I had 2 eye original early pressings. The Mofi's were better than the 2 eye pressings in every case. Smoother, more tube like, cymbals more realistic.
